Vivek Kumar, Qlicket CEO, will attend the prestigious entrepreneurship gathering, which will feature Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump, and Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
PITTSBURGH, PA – 10/04/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — Qlicket has been selected to participate in the eighth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), taking place in Hyderabad, India, from November 28 to November 30. The Summit, which connects promising entrepreneurs to business leaders, investors and supporters from around the world, is being held in South Asia and co-hosted by the United States and India for the first time this year. It will reinforce the two countries’ increasing cooperation on entrepreneurship and technology.
The 2017 GES agenda features a range of master classes, workshops and networking sessions designed to give promising entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their businesses, secure funding, forge international partnerships and engage in many other initiatives aimed at helping their ventures grow. Senior political figures and business leaders will be in attendance. Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump, will be leading the US delegation to the Summit. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, is also expected to attend.
GES is an invite-only event. Speaking of Qlicket’s selection, Vivek Kumar, CEO said: “It’s an honor to have been selected to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017. It presents an excellent opportunity to network with peers and hear from business leaders in a context we’re familiar with.”
“Qlicket spans two continents; we have a team in the US and a team in India. We have firsthand experience of the challenges and opportunities associated with growing a business – securing investment, setting up operations, hiring a team – in each country. I look forward to sharing insights from our journey and hearing from other entrepreneurs and business leaders.”
Qlicket is an employee engagement platform that makes it easy for HR managers to collect employee feedback through less than 60 second micro-pulse surveys taken through the office WiFi network. Employees can share how they feel about culture, management and performance as they navigate the WiFi. By making the process of submitting feedback fun, quick and natural, Qlicket generates 90%+ response rates compared to 30-40% response rates yielded by internal surveys. The company has over 100 customers globally with offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and New Delhi, India.
Qlicket’s participation in GES builds on its involvement with TechCamp Chennai. Mr Kumar served as a trainer on the US Department of State program, designed to equip first-generation South Asian entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds with skills, knowledge and connections to help scale their businesses.

Qlicket was also involved with the Cultural Diplomacy Forum on India held by Meridian International in June 2017. Mr Kumar spoke in a panel titled “The Demographic Dividend,” which looked at how businesses could tap into India’s increasingly youthful workforce. Not only is Qlicket’s workforce relatively young, it also has strong representation by women. “Women First, Prosperity For All” is a key focus of GES this year.
“We also identify with the theme of this year’s Summit.” Mr. Kumar continued, “Women represent half of our engineering team; some joined as interns when Qlicket was just getting off the ground. We recognize the importance of fostering a diverse, inclusive, meritocratic culture. Maintaining this will be a priority as we grow.”
Stay tuned for further updates and pictures as we head towards the Summit!
